Yikes. Liquid spills are the most common killer of Macs. Honestly, we can only resurrect about 30% of dead Macs after a liquid spill. It usually correlates with the type of liquid spilled. If your Mac encounters something carbonated, sugary or acidic … the chances of fixing it economically greatly diminish. Is it possible? Sure, but very rare. We admit that this process is a gamble, but a couple hours of labor versus the cost of a new machine — it could be worth it to you. So, what can we do to help?
We disassemble your Mac and clean everything out. We look for damaged components during this process. Sometimes everything cleans up perfectly and the Mac will continue to work for a long time. Other times, we’ll notice burn marks on the logic board or other components that will indicate a need to replace parts. In that case, we’ll give you a call, let you know what needs replaced and go from there.
Our liquid damage cleanup is just two hours of labor. We’ll determine and quote any additional parts during this process.
