Rise of the Mac
Saturday, 11 August 2007
We already know why we love our Macs, but PC Magazine was the last place I expected to see an article on the "rise of the Mac." Lance Ulanoff laid out for us here why this is a great time to be a Mac-head:

"The fact of the matter is that this is simply the Mac's time. When we do, eventually, look back - and a decade or so from now, we'll try to pinpoint the moment when Apple's Macintosh and OS X began to pick up significant steam. New iMacs
Wednesday, 08 August 2007
Not many people will argue that the iMac was the hottest looking personal computer available, but Apple couldn't resist making this gem even more desirable with a switch from white plastic housing to a beautiful brushed aluminum and black trim. Not just looks, the flagship of Apple's desktop line got faster, lighter, and less expensive! The new iMacs boast up to a 2.8Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and as much as 24 inches of glassy vibrant screen space. New video cards improve video performance and a new 4GB RAM capacity makes this iMac a real heavy hitter. Curious enough, an often overlooked component of your computer may soon be a highlight: the keyboard. The iMac ships with Apple's new keyboard, an ultrathin aluminum slate featuring more responsive keys for faster, more accurate keystrokes. Prices for the new iMac start at $1,199 and move north from there. Check out some of the images of the new iMac online, and then experience one in person at an Apple Store.
